John Bostock poses with Arsenal star after shock Nottingham Forest win – Nottingham Forest News

Former Nottingham Forest midfielder John Bostock was at the City Ground last night to watch Arsenal star Albert Sambi Lokonga. The pair appear to be good friends, with both players having spent time playing in Belgium.
It was actually Lokonga’s mistake that allowed Forest to score the winner. His poor pass was snuffed out by Ryan Yates. He played a one-two with Brennan Johnson before fizzing over a delicious ball for Lewis Grabban to tap home.
Lokonga has enjoyed a decent start to life at Arsenal though. He has made 16 appearances and during the Premier League campaign, the Belgian has showcased what he’s all about.
Last night he had to take on the role of a senior midfielder. Thomas Partey is at the AFCON, whilst Granit Xhaka is currently nursing an injury. Youngster Charlie Patino was given the nod to play alongside the 22-year-old.
It proved a difficult night for the youngster. Both James Garner and Ryan Yates bossed the midfield and ultimately gave Forest the foundations to win the contest.
Lokonga signed for Arsenal in the summer. He joined from Anderlecht for £18 million and one eye was placed on the future with his arrival at the Emirates Stadium.
Clearly, the former Reds midfielder is a big fan of Lokonga. The pair look to be good friends having spent time playing for different clubs in the Belgian divisions.
Bostock enjoyed a strong relationship with fans at the City Ground. Many supporters were baffled when he was continuously overlooked by Sabri Lamouchi.
He left the East Midlands having played just nine times for the club. Sadly, Ben Watson was in the form of his life when Bostock was trying to force his way into the team during 2019/20.
The current Doncaster man is currently fighting to keep Rovers in League One. Lokonga’s remit is far more exciting. He will now focus all of his attention on helping Arsenal maintain their push for a place in next season’s Champions League.
