Your contact form is losing enquiries to a two-tap alternative.
People who won't fill in six fields and wait a day for a reply will happily send a WhatsApp message. GB WhatsApp Chat puts a floating button on every page that opens a conversation already half-written, tells visitors when you're actually available, and reports every click into GA4.
Most chat buttons are worse than having no chat button.
Adding a WhatsApp link takes five minutes. Adding one that doesn't cost you enquiries takes a bit more thought, and three details are usually missed.
The message starts empty
A blank chat window puts the work on the visitor. They have to explain who they are and what page they were on — and a good share of them simply don't bother.
It's always "online"
Someone messages at 11pm, hears nothing until morning, and has already booked with a competitor. Silence reads as being ignored, not as being closed.
Nothing gets measured
A plain link tells you nothing. You can't see which pages drive conversations, so you can't tell whether the button earns its place or just sits there.
What it does
Small plugin, narrow job, no dashboard to learn.
Pre-filled opening message
Set the first message per page, so an enquiry from the airport transfers page arrives already saying so. Fewer questions, faster quote.
Business-hours awareness
Shows an online state during your opening hours and a clear offline message outside them, so nobody is left waiting on a reply that isn't coming tonight.
Opens the app on mobile
Deep links straight into WhatsApp on phones rather than bouncing through a browser tab, which is where most of these buttons quietly lose people.
GA4 event tracking
Every click fires an event you can build a conversion on, so WhatsApp enquiries show up in reporting next to form submissions instead of vanishing.
Position and appearance control
Which corner, which pages, what the button says. It should look like part of your site, not like a plugin someone bolted on.
Light and audited
No external scripts, no tracking pixels of ours, and a codebase that passed a security review with no findings. It adds a button, not a payload.
Two minutes, three fields
There is no account to create and no service to connect. Your number is the integration.
Add your number
Enter the WhatsApp number enquiries should reach, in international format. Business and personal accounts both work.
Write the opener
Set a default first message, then override it on the pages worth treating differently — services, pricing, individual products.
Set your hours
Tell it when you're open. The button changes state automatically and the offline message takes over outside those hours.
It's free
No paid tier, no feature held back, no upgrade prompt in your admin. We built it because our own clients needed it, and there's no version of this plugin worth charging for.
Questions
Do I need WhatsApp Business?
No. A standard WhatsApp account works. Business gives you away messages, labels and a profile, which are useful once volume picks up, but nothing here depends on it.
Does it work on desktop?
Yes — desktop visitors are sent to WhatsApp Web, mobile visitors open the app directly. The pre-filled message carries across both.
Will it slow my site down?
No. There are no external scripts and no third-party requests. The button is rendered by your own site.
Can I show it on some pages only?
Yes. Include or exclude by page, post type or template — useful when you'd rather the checkout stayed free of distractions.
How do I see the enquiries in Analytics?
Clicks fire a GA4 event automatically. Mark that event as a conversion in GA4 and WhatsApp enquiries appear alongside your form goals with no extra tagging.
Getting the clicks but not the enquiries?
A chat button helps at the end of the journey. If the traffic isn't arriving in the first place, that's a different problem — and a free analysis will tell you which one you have.
