Slide Interpreter AI — Privacy Policy

1. Who We Are

Slide Interpreter AI is operated by Globe Boss, a sole trader based in Dublin, Ireland (Hampton Square, West Cabra, Dublin). You can reach us at info@globeboss.com.

2. What We Collect

Account data: When you create an account, we store your email address and a securely hashed version of your password. We never store plain-text passwords.

Usage data: We record the number of credits used per analysis job. We do not store the content of pages you analyse or the AI interpretations generated.

Payment data: Payments are processed entirely by Stripe. We receive a Stripe customer ID and session ID to reconcile your credit balance. We never see, receive, or store your card number, CVV, or any payment instrument details.

3. Image Data

When you run an analysis, images captured from your browser are encoded locally and sent over HTTPS to our backend server, which forwards them to Anthropic's Claude API for interpretation. Images pass through in transit only — they are not stored on our servers or in any database. Anthropic's data handling is governed by their Privacy Policy.

4. What We Do Not Collect

• Browsing history or the URLs of pages you visit
• The content of pages you do not actively choose to analyse
• Slide content or AI interpretations (beyond in-transit processing)
• Device identifiers, analytics, or tracking data of any kind
• Personal information beyond your email address

5. How We Use Your Data

• To authenticate you and maintain your session
• To track your credit balance and process purchases
• To communicate account-related information (verification emails, receipts)
• To respond to support requests

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose unrelated to running your Slide Interpreter AI account.

6. Data Storage & Security

Account data is stored on a secure server within the EU (Railway.app, hosted in the United States with standard contractual clauses). Your login token is stored in Chrome's local extension storage on your own device and is never transmitted to third parties.

Passwords are hashed using bcrypt with 12 rounds before storage. We use HTTPS for all data in transit.

7. Third-Party Services

• Anthropic (Claude API) — processes image data for interpretation. Their privacy policy.
• Stripe — processes payments securely. Their privacy policy.
• Resend — sends transactional emails (verification, welcome). Their privacy policy.

8. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Credit transaction logs are retained for 12 months for billing reconciliation. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by emailing info@globeboss.com.

9. Your Rights (GDPR)

As a Dublin-based business serving EU users, we comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). You have the right to:

• Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• Rectification — correct inaccurate data
• Erasure — request deletion of your account and data
• Portability — receive your data in a portable format
• Objection — object to processing in certain circumstances

10. Chrome Extension Permissions Explained

• activeTab — reads the page you're currently on, only when you click Scan or Analyse in the extension popup.
• scripting — injects a script to detect images and slides on the active tab.
• storage — saves your login token locally so you stay signed in between sessions.
• downloads — downloads your exported report (PDF, Word, or HTML) to your device.
• tabs — captures screenshots by scrolling through the active tab and opens exported reports in a new tab.
• offscreen — uses an offscreen canvas to process captured images before sending to AI.
• identity — supports Google sign-in via Chrome's built-in identity API.
• <all_urls> — required to analyse any webpage the user chooses to open, since slides and pages can exist at any URL.

11. Children

Slide Interpreter AI is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from children.

12. Changes to This Policy

If our data practices change, this page will be updated and the date at the top will reflect the change. Material changes will be announced via email to registered users.
